Rosetta Sue Hudson, known to her family and friends as Rose, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, at the age of 80. Rose lived in Jonesboro. She was born July 21, 1942 in Jonesboro to Burl and Ester (Fisher) Selman. She was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church and loved riding horses, bowling and playing the piano.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, W.J. "Dub" Hudson; a brother, Billy Selman and two sisters, Effie McQuay and Louise Simmons.
Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of Rose include her two sons, Keith (Leesa) Hudson and David (Missi) Hudson; three daughters, Deanna (James) Key, Kim (Danny) Tate and Kristen (William) Curtis; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Bishop Cemetery in Jonesboro with Wynndel King officiating.
Pallbearers will be Rocky Key, Blaine Curtis, Michael Clark, Roger Hudson, Tony Files and George Hall.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Alexander and Adam Ransone.
Visitation will precede the service from 1pm to 2pm at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.
I never saw Mrs. Rose without a smile. She was so kind. I expect that she’ll still be smiling when we see her again with the Lord.

I will never forget her spent so many night there with Keith she was a great lady
Ms. Rose was a wonderful person. Anytime I ever seen her she has that beautiful smile. GOD has gained a beautiful angel. Sending prayers for you all.
