Donald Eugene Curtright, 74, of Cabot passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, April 27, 2023. He was born May 26, 1948 in Dyess, Arkansas to Patrick and Bernice Curtright. Don worked for the Osceola Police Department for seven years. He then worked as an Auxiliary Sheriff's deputy in Phillips County for several years, while working as a meat cutter at Kroger. Don eventually started driving a truck for American Freightways, then Fedex Freightways, until he retired in 2010. He loved to hunt, fish and go camping, retirement left him more time to enjoy these things. Don always shared with friends by having them over for cookouts, he was known as the camp cook.
Everyone who knew him would kid him about always buying at least two of everything. Don was a trader by nature, always buying and selling guns. He loved collecting things, especially hats. Don never met a stranger and loved telling jokes to everyone.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Massey Curtright; father, Harold Patrick Curtright; brother, Hal Richard Curtright; sister, Lavonna Gail Rhoades and grandparents. Don is survived by daughters, Susan Curtright Bennett; Andrea Leigh Andrews (Greg); mother, Bernice Curtright; grandsons, Ryan Economou; Jordan Economou; former wife, Nancy Tacker Curtright and brother, Dennis Curtright. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends (especially his hunting buddies).
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

We met Don when were gate attendants at Merrisach. He and Nancy had just retired and decided to camp with us. He was always cracking a joke and smiling. He never met a stranger. Everyone knew and enjoyed Don at the park. He could cook a mean rack of ribs or fry great fish. He will be greatly missed. Prayers for his family. ðŸ™ðŸ™
