of England, AR
May 31, 1939 - April 22, 2023
John Ray Robinson, 83, of England went to be with the Lord April 22, 2023. He was born May 31, 1939 in Dardanelle, Arkansas to Robert Houston Robinson and Minnie Mae Davis Robinson.
John found great purpose and fulfillment serving as the candy man at Landmark Baptist Church. It gave him the opportunity to visit with people and welcome them to the service. He took every opportunity to share his faith with others.
Alongside his brother, Dewain, John spent most of his working years in the farming and agriculture flying business. He enjoyed preparing meals for his nephews and others that worked with them in the business, as well as any hungry farmer who happened to drop in around mealtime. His homemade rolls and desserts were a request at every church or family gathering.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Pam Robinson; daughter, Melony Hilton (Travis); grandson, Ben Burgess; step-granddaughter, Ashley Schratz and mother-in-law, Eula West, but he was welcomed into heaven by his parents and 18 siblings that preceded him.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Baptist Health North Little Rock for their compassionate care, as well as Cavalier Healthcare Center of England for the loving care provided during his brief stay.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Roller England Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Landmark Baptist Church in England with Bro. David Inzer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Landmark Baptist Church Nursing Home Christmas Ministry, P.O. Box 177, England, AR 72046.
