Richard John Lauen 92, born August 31, 1930, passed away from this earth on April 17, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Carol Ann Lauen. He was preceded in death by his parents, John H Lauen and Mabel K Prelip Lauen and a brother, Larry Lauen.
He is survived by his children; daughter, Richelle Haney (Darrell) and son, Ryland Lauen (Cyndi); grandchildren, Lynda Dickenson, John Haney and Melissa Gardner; along with 8 great grandchildren.
Richard was a veteran, and upon completion of his military career, he returned to farm, which he did diligently until his passing. His passion was work and farming was his favorite. He loved his family beyond measure and always looked forward to the opportunity to spend time with them.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Roller-Daniel Funeral in Searcy, with Celebration of Life 10:00 AM Friday, April 21, 2023 at Roller-Daniel. Interment will follow at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy.

Mr. Lauen was always very nice to me when he came to the office. Gary always enjoyed talking to him when we purchased hay .
