We loved Addie and miss our visits with her and bud. They had the best advice on a lot of different things. I would call her and say addie I can’t figure out how to piece this star on a quilt, I was making and she would say bring it on over and I will see if I can help you and she did! When we would drive by, there would be that sweet lady outside working in her flower bed with her ball cap on with her hoe in her hands She loved her flowers. I would tell darrell Addie was the closest thing to being like my mom. She loved to visit with her cousin darrell, the stories they could tell and just laugh. Of course she always had to have a hug. She was always wanting to fix you a glass of tea. Darrell would go get her and bring her to sit on the porch with him. She enjoyed it and looking at my flowers and would share flowers with me. I think of her every time I look at the paper whites and miniature rose bush she gave me. She didn’t want to stay long, she loved her home and loved seeing Ronnie come in the back door. She would say there’s my son. Oh and how she loved her garden. She loved okra! We have missed her over the years once she had to leave but hold on to the memories we have of her. She was the best! Loved her dearly!! Darrell and Linda grady.
