Doris Sparks Russell, 94, of Batesville, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023.

She was born February 2, 1929 in Harrison, Arkansas to Hugh Sparks and Bertha Petree Sparks.

Doris was a member of Desha Church of Christ. She loved to spend time with her family and was a mother to all. She was a hardworking woman and an avid gardener, she was also an amazing cook and loved to read.

Survivors include her son, Tommy Russell (Sarah) of Kingsport, Tennessee; two daughters, Bobbi Russell Brown (Bob) of Cushman and Dottie Rea (Len) of Vilonia; six grandchildren, Stephanie Magness (Eric Nast), Mac Tovey, Amanda Woody (Austin), Corey Rea (Heather), Thomas Russell and William Russell; six great-grandchildren, Chase Magness, Miles Magness, Solomon Nast, Eva Tovey, McKenzie Woody and Haylee Zakrzewski; two great-great-grandchildren, Laney Magness and Hudson Magness and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Russell; daughter, Mary Rebecca Russell and sister, Betty Hensley.

Pallbearers are Chase Magness, Miles Magness, Solomon Nast, Eric Nast, Austin Woody and Chuck Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Brown, Len Rea, Thomas Russell, William Russell and Corey Rea.

Graveside services will begin at 2:00 pm Friday, April 7, 2023 at Alderbrook Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Austin Dowell officiating.
