Vincent Dean Mears, age 62, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away March 25, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.
Vincent was born September 19, 1960 in Geneva, Illinois to Cecil and Pauline (Gilliland) Mears. He was talented at working on equipment, worked off shore, in dry wall, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Vincent was a race car fan and liked Dale Earnhart, the Indianapolis Colts, and music. He was known to be a loving son and brother and will always be loved and missed.
Vincent is survived by his mother, Pauline Mears and siblings, Doug and Tammy Mears.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Mears, grandparents, Archie and Anna Mears,and Carl and Eva Gilliland and several cousins.
A graveside service will be held at Cowan Cemetery on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Kevin Duffy officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Evans, Derek Mears, Mark Risley, Wayne Cowan, Butch Still and Steve Hoover.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Lucas, Doug Keeter, Robbie Allen, Donna Still, Rhonda Hoover and Dan Goodwin.

Vince was a friend to me following the passing of our mutual friend Christy Hall, back in the late 1970s. I appreciated his compassion. Blessings to his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Anytime I think of Vince, I can't help but remember his big smile and that laugh. Oh, what a mischievous laugh. Let's treasure and be thankful for those precious memories. And most of all, be thankful that he's at peace.
Vince was always such a happy and lighthearted soul. He was quite the cut-up and jokester all thru school. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Rest in Peace our dear friend and classmate.
