Gary Cecil ''Burt'' Hawkins, 76, of Clarksville passed away Friday, March 24, 2023 in Clarksville. He was born March 4, 1947 in Harrison to Garland Cecil Hawkins and Velva Estell (Thomas) Hawkins Futral. Gary had been a resident of Clarksville since moving from North Little Rock in 1975 with his wife, Bonnie. He was employed as a Construction Inspector with the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department from 1967 until his retirement in 2002.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Velva Hawkins Futral and one sister, Mary Dorene Stricklin.
Gary is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two sons, Gary Hawkins (Dale) of Pea Ridge and David Hawkins (Dana) of Clarksville; one grandson, Chris Hawkins and wife, Rebecca of Coal Hill; one great-grandson, Jameson Hawkins; one niece, Debbie Stephens and husband, Tony of St. Charles, Missouri and one nephew, Don Stricklin of St. Charles, Missouri.
