December 21, 1932 - March 22, 2023
Bertha Belle Graves, 90, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. She was born on December 21, 1932 in Ferndale, Arkansas to the late Alvin Grady and Alma Adeline Stillman.
Bertha Belle was a loving and hardworking woman in any role she played in life. Her lifework surrounded the care of her daughters and home. She grew up in the small town of Ferndale. Even as a child, she was a motherly figure of many siblings growing up. As a mother, she had a loving and selfless nature. The happiness of her girls was her main priority and she left no room for herself. She was never idle in anything she did; working was her source of happiness. Other activities Bertha enjoyed were sewing, farming and gardening and being her own entrepreneur. She always saw the beauty in any opportunity and was an intelligent investor in many things.
Beautiful, loving, yet had a strength not found by many.
She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Davis, Deb Phillips (Matthew) and Carol Ann Wilson (Richard); grandchildren, Donnie Davis, Steven Davis, Michelle Zomaya, John Garner, Joshua Hudelson, Lesli Hodge and Jaime Coe; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brothers, James Stillman (Debbie) and Gary Gathright (Debbie); sisters, Carol Smith (Edward) and Nora Warren (Larry); brother-in-law, Tommy Rosamond; son from the heart, Ricky Bates and a multitude of extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, James "Dubie" Rosamond; parents, Alvin and Alma Stillman; brothers, Grady Stillman and David Stillman; sister, Alma Lee Stillman and great-grandson, Todd Davis.
Debbie,
Your Momma was one of my favorite people, and I will miss hearing about her adventures. She accomplished so much in her long (but not long enough) life. I am so glad I got to know her, and am sending prayers for her and all of you.
Much love,
Kathy
Debbie,
My deepest condolences and prayers for strength and comfort for you, Matt and your family.
Deb, just saw your mom’s obituary in the paper and I’m so sorry. I know you will miss her terribly. Sending prayers for you and all who loved her.
