Charles Clay Chrisco

It is with a profound sense of sorrow that we announce the passing of Charles Clay Chrisco, age 83. He was born in Luxora, AR on June 16, 1939 to Alice and Clay Chrisco. We mourn the loss of a distinguished man who was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jody Chrisco; his sister, Mary Wilds and his parents, Clay and Alice Chrisco. Charles leaves behind a lasting legacy, survived by his two daughters, Bridget Renee Owen (Jeff) and Sheila Ann Shelby; his grandchildren, Matthew Beegle, Haley Renee Smith, Ryan Brannon, Tommy Shelby and Hannah Jo Shelby; two sisters, Margaret Ann Olive and Debbie Chrisco and two brothers, Walter Chrisco (Alice), Ronnie Chrisco (Sharon); as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He graduated from Luxora High in 1957. He attended the University of Arkansas and Arkansas State University, and served his country honorably as a veteran of the Navy. He pursued his career in agriculture and farming. Upon retirement, he enjoyed grilling, gardening and creating beautiful woodwork. He raised his two daughters in Blytheville, AR and later built his home in Bassett, AR. Throughout his lifetime, he was a figure of strength for his family. He will be forever in our hearts; we will deeply miss his presence. Nonetheless, his legacy will endure through the memories he created and the affection he shared with those around him. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023 at Roller-Swift in Osceola, AR. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Wilson First Baptist Church. Committal will follow in Bassett Cemetery.

Charles first and foremost was a man of Faith. He was a wonderful family man. He proudly served our country. Most importantly he was an outstanding father and grandfather. He was an honest man that you could always count on. There is no doubt he is resting peacefully in heaven. Again, he was a strong man of Faith. He helped install that in our children. There is nothing greater I could have asked for. Charles, thank you for your unconditional friendship. I hope to see you again someday.

With Love,

Tom Shelby

I always liked Uncle Charles. The last time I saw him was when Aunt Jody passed away, and he told me that when I was a little baby that he and aunt Jody kept me for a couple weeks . Said they had so much fun watching me. I remember seein him at Christmas at Mamaws and Papaws and I thought he always smelled so good. I'm prayin for you Bridget and Sheila and the family! Love ya'll
