Jean McGuffey Gray, 74, of Batesville passed away March 7, 2023.
She was born January 1, 1949 in Batesville to William Clayton McGuffey and Willene (Goodman) McGuffey.
Jean was a 1966 graduate of Southside High School and attended the Southside Church of Christ. She loved her family and enjoyed talking, shopping, working in her yard and flower garden and was an avid reader. Jean sold Avon for 40 years and received many awards.
Survivors include her mother, Willene McGuffey of Batesville; one son, Carl Lawrence of Batesville; one brother, Billy McGuffey (Julie) of North Aurora, Illinois; two sisters, Linda Vantreese (Dan) of Aurora, Illinois, Carol Pooler (John) of Yankton, South Dakota; two grandchildren, China Lawrence of Bono, Arkansas, Cheyene Lawrence of Jonesboro; as well as several nieces and nephews; cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Clayton McGuffey; her husband, William "Bob" Gray and one niece, Sherry Pooler.
Pallbearers will be Gary Goodman, Braden Johnson, Tony McGuffey, Mark McCollum, Gary Bridgman, and Steve Millikin.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Bill Cline and Randy Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until 2:00pm with funeral at 2:00pm
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children's Homes Inc., 5515 Walcott Rd, Paragould, AR 72450.

Jean was my Avon lady from 1984 to 1998. I loved her sense of humor and smile. She was a very special woman. My deepest sympathies to her family.
