Wilburn "Bill" Bolin, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, born on April 3, 1941, passed away on March 4, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Molly Bolin; his daughter, Kimberly Ann Bolin; four sisters, Imogene Acree, Irene Scott, Mildred Gabbard, Loretta Hill and three brothers, Willard Bolin, William Bolin and Wilvin Bolin.
He is survived by two sons, James Bolin of Piercetown, Arkansas and Doug Bolin of North Little Rock; one brother, Troy Bolin of England, Arkansas; one sister, Janis Bolin Rhoades (Randal) of Rodgers, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Kimberly Bolin of Conway, Arkansas and Kayla Bolin of Kemah, Texas; and many nieces and nephews who called him "Uncle Shottie".
He joined the Navy in 1959. He was a Navy cook/commissary man for six years when he returned to civilian life. He began a life-long meat cutting career, beginning at Weingarten's in Little Rock and ending with Knights Grocery in Jacksonville, with many others in between.
Visitation will be held at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock, Arkansas on Wednesday, March 8 from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
A graveside service will be held at Mount Judea Cemetery in Mt. Judea, Arkansas on Thursday, March 9 at 2:00 P.M.
