Sharon Marie Bailey, 84, of Clarksville passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2023 in Centerton, Arkansas. She was born November 21, 1938 in Midland, Michigan to Earl and Aileen (Brooks) Demo and grew up in Saginaw, Michigan. After high school, she moved to Clarksville, Arkansas to attend The College of the Ozarks where she went on to earn a degree in History and English. While attending college, she met her husband, James (Jim) Bailey.
Throughout her lifetime, she was a homemaker, Real Estate Agent, Tupperware Sales Representative and later, worked in various positions, as well as volunteered, at Clarksville Public Schools. Sharon was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed card games, reading and watching sports, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Bailey; one son, Jimmy Bailey and one brother, Brent Demo. Sharon is survived by three daughters, Angela (Randy) Renkel of Centerton, AR, Tammy (Bob) Nicholson of Asheville, NC and Melodye (Russell) Stickley of Ozone, AR; seven grandchildren, Cody (Kimberly) Vaught, Brittney (Brandon) Schluterman, Nicholas (Sarah) Helms, Quincey (Josh) Hennagan, Collin Pearson, Alexandria (Seth) Baldwin, Katie Pearson; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of other friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at Roller-Cox Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 12, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the University of the Ozarks Scholarship Fund.
