Anna Pickering Philyaw, 85, of Earle, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born September 14,1937 in Potts Camp, Mississippi to James and Melba Reynolds. Anna was a former city council member, a local business owner, having her own hair salon for 45 years and a board member for the Arkansas Board of Cosmetology. She was a member of Earle Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, tending to her humming bird feeders and spending time with her family.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Travis Pickering; grandson, Jake Rodgers; one sister, Laverne and four brothers, Johnny, James, Billy Joe and Doyle.
She is survived by her second husband, Robert Philyaw; daughter, Terrie Kuhn (Jim); granddaughters, Lacie Hudgins (James) and April Kirkley (Chad); four great grandchildren, Megan Greer, Katie Greer, Wade Rodgers and Nolan Rodgers; one sister, Barbara Chunn and two brothers, Clarence Reynolds and Bobby Jean Reynolds.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, March 6, 2023 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, 201 North Pine Street, West Memphis with Tony Wells officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 am.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis.
