Emma Jean Martin, age 83, of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, February 27th, 2023 at Highland Court in Marshall. She was born at home in Leslie, Arkansas on February 27th, 1940 to Thomas Eli Campbell and Grace Lillian Gloden Campbell.
Emma was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She graduated from Leslie High School in 1958. She spent her working years at Flintrock Shirt Factory until the factory closed. She then went to work cleaning the Searcy County Senior Center until she retired at the age of 78. Emma was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family every week. She loved to go to yard sales and her home is full of her many yard sale finds. Her family meant the world to her and time with her grandkids and great-grandkids was one of her greatest joys.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathryn Pace and husband, Dave of Dennard and Sheila Davis and husband, Joe of Marshall; grandchildren, Brett Davis, Brittani Davis Downey and Landon Davis; great-grandchildren, Owen Pratchard, Carsen Pratchard and one great-grandson on the way; siblings, Virginia Woods and husband, Kenneth of Nixa, MO, Louise Treat of Leslie, Wanda Rains of Leslie and Lelia Mull of Bessemer City, NC; sisters-in-law, Shelba Campbell and Louise Hawkins and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will also mourn her passing.
Emma is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lillian Campbell; her husband, James Brice Martin who passed away in 2011; infant sister, Edna Campbell and brothers, Tom Campbell Jr. and Fred Campbell.
Funeral services for Emma will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 4th, 2023 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Gary Ragland officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 till 2:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Gardens, where Emma will be laid to rest beside her husband, James Martin. Bearers will be Joe Davis, Brett Davis, Mike Treat, Russell Treat, Phillip Treat and Doug Campbell. Honorary bearers will be Randy Rose and Landon Davis.

Always enjoyed visiting with Miss Emma usually at the Post office when we both come for our mail. she will be missed. sympathy and prayers to the family.

Kathy, Sheila and family: I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with your mom over 15 years and grew to love, care and respect her. She was a hard worker and took care of things that I didn't even know about. She was kinda quiet but had a great sense of humor too. You and your family are in my prayers for peace and comfort. Emma was a very special and sweet lady. Roylee Ragland and Virbil Lee Gasaway worked with her for many many year at the shirt factory. She will be deeply missed. Prayers for her family, we know she will be missed. However, she is in the Lords hands now.
