February 28, 1933 - February 23, 2023

Anna Lee Jones, of Jonesboro, AR passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House at the age of 90. She was born February 28, 1933 in Portia, AR to Arthur and Sara Lee (Burrow) Johnson. Anna worked as a nurse's aide at St. Bernard's Hospital and as a homemaker. She was a member of Woods Chapel Church and loved sewing, gardening, cooking, word search puzzles, attending church and celebrating her family's birthdays.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 60 years, Earnest Jones and three daughters, Anna Mae, Mary Anna and Freda Ann Jones.

Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of Anna include her sons, Earnie (Brenda) Jones, Robert Jones, Gary Jones, Jennifer Jones, Jerry (Cathy) Jones and Larry (Rita) Jones; a daughter, Betty (Glenn) Faurie; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and a sister, Freda Mae (Lee Don) Hamilton.

Pallbearers will be David Box, Dillon Box, Bowen Jones, Wesley Reese, Luke Taylor, Bill Cotton and Ronnie Brand.

Chapel services will be 10 am Monday, February 27, 2023 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro, with Rick Hathcoat officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Sunday, February 26, 2023 at the funeral home.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Sister Jones was a precious lady who was loved by many!! I will miss passing by her home and seeing her working in her beautiful garden. May God give you peace, comfort. And rest.

Oh, how I loved 'Mrs. Anna" stories but my favorite was the day you told me when she said my iced butter cookies reminded her of some she used to get long ago and how much she loved them. From then on, everything I made those cookies, I always made a batch for her.

I am so sorry for your loss but man, she lived a life surrounded with people who truly loved her! Love you guys!
