Mary Lynn Smith, aged 69, of Mountain View, Arkansas died on February 7th, 2023.
She was born March 16, 1953 in Pine Buff, Arkansas to J.E. and Belle (Storey) Lancaster.
Mary was a dedicated and faithful member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Always kind and empathic in speech and action, she was valued deeply as a loving mother, sister, aunt, and cherished by many as a loyal friend.
Mary was deeply passionate about nature and prized the plants and wildlife that she surrounded herself with. She was also a voracious reader, rarely being seen without a book in hand during her free time.
For 20 years, Mary worked for the Capital Mercury Shirt Corporation, and worked an additional 10 years as a cook for the Mountain View School District, where she relished in bringing joy into the lives of the children she fed daily.
Mary is survived by her son, Willie Smith (Sarah) of Conway, AR, her daughter Laura Lacasa (James) of Eugene, Oregon, her brother Eric Lancaster (Rebecca) of Batesville, AR, sisters Peggy Adams (Ralph) and Pamela Sweeney (John) of Mountain View, AR, and brother in-law Ted Smith (Oma Lea), of Mountain View, AR, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents J.E. and Belle (Storey) Lancaster, her husband Alvin Smith, and a nephew, Lance Adams.
A memorial will be held digitally via Zoom on the 20th of February at 2:00 PM.

Mary Lynn was such a sweet lady! I remember going to Mtn. View and visiting my brother John Sweeney & his wife Pam! Mary Lynn would come over and visit! She was such a loving & caring woman. She always had a smile on her face and she would light up the room. I have loved, respected and admired her! She will truly be missed!
