Mitchell ''Mitch'' Moffitt, 73, of Batesville, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, February 10, 2023, at his home in the presence of family. He was born on December 11, 1949, in Batesville, to Lee Roy Moffitt and Ora (Rudisill) Moffitt. He was a hardworking man and never complained. He retired from NAPA Auto Parts Store after 31 years and was an active member of the Batesville First Church of the Nazarene. After retirement he enjoyed part-time work as a transportation driver for the local Senior Citizens program. He served as a board member at First Church of the Nazarene and also took on many other roles at the church.
Mitch is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon Kay (Burge) Moffitt; his daughter, Kristi Morgan (Trent) of Florida; his grandsons, Kyler Morgan of Florida and Kane Morgan of North Carolina; his twin brother, Michael Moffitt (Vicki) of Batesville; his younger brother, Lee Moffitt (Terry) of Batesville; 4 nephews (Kevin, Rodney, Richard, and Johnny); and 3 nieces (Stacey, Tina, and Marci). He was preceded in death by both parents and an older brother, Garry Moffitt.
Beloved by family, friends, church family, colleagues, and members of the community, he lived a selfless life of service to others.
Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Batesville First Church of the Nazarene, officiated by Pastor Warren Foxworthy and Roberta Bustin. Visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in his memory.
