Gwen Thompson, 95, of Gassville, Arkansas passed away peacefully at her home Friday, December 10, 2023, in Mountain Home. She was born March 2, 1927, in Bono, Arkansas to Louis and Goldie Hodge.
Gwen is survived by her five children: son, Danny Thompson of Dowling, MI, son, Freddy Thompson of Gassville, AR, daughter, Anita (Rodney) Walker of South Haven, MI, daughter, Sandy Stephens of Mountain Home, AR, and son, Dean Thompson of Mountain Home, AR; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thurman Thompson; sons, Roy Thompson and Wayne Thompson; and daughter, Katheline Staton.
Gwen was a Master Quilter. She loved quilting, sewing, traveling, and serving family and others first. She was faithful to God and her Church, Cotter Church of Christ. She was a Native American Tribal Member Oglala Sioux, Pine Ridge, South Dakota.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Legacy Hospice in Salem, AR or to the Wounded Warriors Project.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Roller Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Kirby Tucker Cemetery. Family and friends are welcomed to gather at the home of Gwen Thompson for a luncheon immediately following the burial. Arrangements are under the care of Roller Funeral Home.

Anita,Danny,Freddy,Sandy and Dean. I am so sorry for your loss. Always felt like Gwen was my second mom growing up with your family in Michigan.
