Carolyn Sue Habel, 84, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023. She was born in North Little Rock on April 18, 1938.
Carol dedicated her career to caring for children. She worked for 23 years at the JFK Early Learning Center. Carol was a member of First Assembly of God in North Little Rock. Her other joys included traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Habel (Mary) and Mark Habel (Sherri); grandchildren, Jessica Habel, Justin Habel, Kelly Stillman (Chris), Brittney Peeks, Mandy Duncan (Cody) and Rachel Taylor (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Olivia, Hayden, Drace, Wolfrum, Ace, Weston, Hazley, Hudson and Skylark; brother, Jim Mashburn and sisters-in-love, Carolyn Mashburn and Margie Mashburn.
Carol is preceded in death by a brother, Jack Mashburn; and her beloved husband of 60 years, Joseph Habel.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 13th at 10:30 A.M. at First Assembly of God NLR in North Little Rock. A visitation will be held one-hour prior to the service at 9:30 A.M.
A graveside service will follow at 12:00 P.M. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.

Mom was a ray of light in our family . She loved being in the middle of it all . From ballgames to costume parties to cruises she didn’t miss much. Her 23 years of daycare service made her a bonus grandma to so many kids . We already miss our frequent dinner dates, grocery shopping together and watching old school dancing on YouTube. She was oh so ready to go to heaven and see the Lord and Pops. She had a great life , how can we be sad. She’s forever here with us until one day we are there with her â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸
