Patricia "Patty" Shelton Cash passed away after a long illness surrounded by her loving family on February 5, 2023. Born December 10, 1940 in Batesville, she was the only child of George and Lela Shelton. Patty was married to Bill Cash on October 14, 1957 and shared a life together for 57 years.
Patty was a 1958 graduate of Batesville High School and after raising her children, achieved her dream of completing her education with a BS from Lyon College in 1995. She retired from North Arkansas Development Council (NADC), served on the Batesville Housing Authority for several years, was President of the Batesville Professional Women (BPW) and BPW woman of the year in 1995. She proudly represented Independence County on the Arkansas Democratic Committee.
Patty and Bill enjoyed traveling after retiring, visiting all 50 states and 13 countries. Patty enjoyed collecting antiques, keeping journals, decorating her house for every season, cooking for family visits and her beloved fur babies.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her children, Janice Benton and Connie Cash of Batesville and Bill Cash, Jr (Marilyn) of Little Rock. She was proud to be "Nano" to her grandchildren: Josh Cash (Amanda), Batesville; Pamela Mize (Brett), Batesville; Andrew Cash, Little Rock; Lydia Cash, Atlanta, GA and Molly Cash, Fayetteville and her great granddaughter, Josie Mize, Batesville.
Pallbearers are Andrew Cash, Josh Cash, Jerry Pectol, Brett Mize and Doug Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Joe Insell officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Thursday, February 9, 2023.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Mountain Meadows for her excellent care during her stay there.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I was just wondering about her last week. I was blessed to be on one of those trips to Alaska with her & Bill. I worked with Bill. He & I were on some of those furrbaby rescues a time or two. Loved both your Mom & Dad. May God give all of you strength & comfort in the lonesome days ahead.
