Sally June Barber, 80, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born on November 16, 1942 in Paris to her parents, Pink Marion and Ida Rose (Gabbard) Russell.
Sally was always known for her witty humor and her beautiful smile. She competed in the Miss Paris pageant it its early days. Sally was also known for being a hard worker. She worked many years alongside her husband in their automotive repair business. Sally also loved photography and enjoyed taking school portraits for local schools. She volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher for many years and she always lived, laughed, and loved.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers, Isaiah (ID) Russell, Pink (Boots) Russell, Jr., James (JB) Russell, Gerald (Joe) Russell and Jerry Russell and six sisters, Doris Hatcher, Dessie Appleton, Florene Young, Wanda Melton, Ann Alston and Helen Smith.
She is survived by one son, Jeff Barber of Tyler, Texas; two grandchildren, Cameron Barber and Kaylin Barber and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m., with the funeral beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris officiated by Jimmy Russell. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Hatcher, Kenneth Miller, Keith Robberson, Errik Ellington, Justin Pfeiffer and Eric Mikles.

Sally was my neighbor, best friend and "running buddy" from early 1978 until she moved back home to her beloved Arkansas. She was a second mom to our kids. Our daughter was born Dec of '78 and oh the stories I could tell you on those two !! We got to see her when she was in Assisted Living and in true Sally style she got her friend to greet us in the foyer. When the friend ask if we were the "Texas folks" Who should come out from behind one of the columns I loved her phone calls and consider it an honor to be one of her "buttons" on her phone! So sorry for her family’s loss. My family , (Elvis and Annie Barber and my siblings ). loved her. So sad to see this. I’ve known Sally most of my life as her brother, I D, and my dad were good friends. Her dad said she’d to give me rides back and forth to school. She lived out of state for years, but we reconnected in recent years. I always thought she was beautiful and funny. I admired how she embraced the blindness that she experienced in her later years. I delivered medicine to her many times when I worked at the pharmacy and we always reminisced about times past. Sending sincere sympathy to her son and her surviving relatives.
