Ema "Jean" Maxine Miller Villines, age 95, of Harrison passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 30, 1927, to Johnnie and Mae (Wallace) Miller in Valley Springs, Arkansas. Jean loved going to auction sales and loved to stay busy if only to cook and clean the house. She was baptized into the Baptist faith at an early age. Jean worked as a beautician for many years and later worked at Emerson Electric from where she retired.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oran Villines; brothers, Pete, Roy, and John Ross Miller and brothers-in-law, Robert Toad Villines and Donnie Villines.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy McEntire of the home; sister, Bette Arnold and Dick of Fayetteville; sisters-in-law, Loretta Villines of Jasper, AR, Cora Alice Villines of Harrison, AR, Verma Sue Ethridge of Harrison; brother-in-law, Conard Villines of Clarksville, AR; special friends, Jimmy and Kaye House of Compton, AR and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside service was Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Beechwood Cemetery, Ponca, AR with Reverend Craig Villines officiating.
Visitation was Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Todd House, Justin House, Lewis Villines, Donovan Villines, Jeff Morrow, and Frank Villines.

Peggy, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Jean was such a fun, spunky woman. She made me smile every time I got to see her. I have many great memories of getting to visit with her. At some point in every conversation, she made it clear how proud she was to have you as a daughter. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers! Hope to get to visit with you soon!

I will miss my sweet neighbour and friend. Jean was so full of life. I can't even count the number of meals she has cooked for us over the years! She loved to laugh, and delighted in teasing with JT. My grandson loved 'Miss Jean'. He knew when he went to see her, he would leave with a treat. Peggy, thank you for sharing your mom with JT and me.

Precious memories of my beautiful Aunt Jean. Once she married Uncle Oran our families became very close. Jean was the best cook, hair stylist, 2 step dancer and host to many gatherings. I will always remember her enthusiasm to have some fun!
