Muriel Rose Mitchell Holt, 90, of Fifty Six, Arkansas passed away on January 8, 2023 at Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View, Arkansas. Muriel was born on April 24, 1932 in Fifty Six, Arkansas to the late Floyd and Verlie (Sands) Mitchell. Muriel was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church and loved her church family. She worked as a maid for many years and after retirement helped her mother on the farm. Muriel will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Muriel is survived by her son, Joe Holt of Fifty Six, Arkansas and one sister, Gladys Tinkle of Mountain View, Arkansas along with many extended family and friends.
Muriel is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Verlie (Sands) Mitchell; husband, Otto Holt; daughters, Vivian Shadwick and Gail Smith; one son, Larry Holt and two sisters, Joann Diffy and Patsy Newcomb.
Visitation is Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 1:00-2:00PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services follow the visitation beginning at 2:00PM with Brother Gary Ragland officiating. Interment will be at Fifty Six Cemetery in Fifty Six, Arkansas by her late husband, Otto Holt.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

Joey, Casey & all the family.
We are so sorry about Muriel's passing. She was precious & always so good to me. I was honored to have her as my cousin. I know our hearts are broken, but she was saved & is Heaven & no longer sick & thanks to God's sacrifice we can see her again. All we have to do is ask Jesus into our hearts & ask him to save us when his spirit deals with our hearts. I have done that & urge any of you that may not know him as your Savior to do so if he deals with you, then we can all be reunited in Heaven with loved ones gone on before & our sweet Jesus. Muriel was an excellent example of one of God's children. Our love, prayers & thoughts are with you all.

We can't express how much we love you and will miss you. From as far back as I can remember, you were always the most amazing person in the whole world. You were the sunshine in our darkest days and I can thank you enough for everything you have been to us. We love you from the bottom of our hearts and tell mom and aunt Viv we said hi and we love them.
