Travis Weldon Kennedy, 77, of Osceola passed away in Osceola on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. He was born on August 24, 1945 in Little River to Robert and Mattie Kennedy. Travis retired from Rivercrest High School and was a member of Etowah Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed Supper at his daughter, Donna's home every evening. Travis loved to aggravate his wife and call her Lucy, listen to gospel music and eat sweet snacks like honey buns. He liked fishing, hunting and making wind chimes. Mr. Kennedy lived for Jesus Christ and would pray nightly for the many people on his prayer list. His favorite saying was "God Bless You and Amen". He is survived by his wife, Barbara Kennedy; sons, Scott Harrison, David (Barbara) Jones; daughters, Donna (Bobby) Harkins, Angela (James) Padgett, Regina Dewitt (Michael) Cain, Toynua Jones, Connie (Alan) Richard, Penny (Scott) Brake, Jenny (Brian) Rehmert, Crystal (Scott) Grogan; 41 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; brother, Kemp Kennedy and sister, Linda Farris. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 34 years, Sharon Sue Kennedy; brothers, JL and JW Kennedy; sisters, Patsy, Patricia, Wonnez, Faye and Lou. A visitation will be held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Louise Chapel.
