Lois "Jean" Gunter, age 83, of Sherwood passed away on December 26, 2022. Jean was born February 20, 1939 in Colfax, Washington to George and Pearl Englehart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings, George Jr., Bob, Bill, Marjorie and Evelyn; daughter, Laura; granddaughter, Trisha Gunter and great-grandson, Matthew Treadway.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Thomas "Pat" Gunter; two sons, Terry Gunter (wife, Allison) and Tim Gunter (wife, Donna); daughter, Joy Gunter; three grandsons, Trent Gunter, Travis Gunter, (wife, Jordan) and Trevor Gunter; two granddaughters, Katie Treadway (husband, Austin) and Kelsey Ferrell (husband, Mitch); five great-grandchildren, Cruz and Nash Gunter, Haley and Will Treadway and Kamryn Ferrell. Jean always considered her Neighbors as family: Greg and Kelley Kelley and their children, Caleb and Hannah. Also, a special family friend-Tracy Morgan. She loved them all dearly.
Jean was a long-time member of Victory Baptist Church in Sherwood and prior to COVID, loved to volunteer at the St. Vincent's and VA rehab centers. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society and through the years quick to volunteer for just about everything-Den Mother, Brownie Leader, PTA, Substitute Teacher and Elketts. What she loved most was spending time with and loving family and friends. "Always Smiling". SHE was LOVED by all!!!!
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, at 11:00 AM, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock. A graveside service will be held after services at 2:00 PM at Henderson Cemetery in Pangburn, Arkansas.
A visitation will be held the evening before on Thursday, December 29 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Roller-Owens Funeral Home.
