Delcia L. Roper, 96, of Scranton, Arkansas passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 at her home in Scranton with her loved ones by her side.
She was born on October 21, 1926 in Paragould, Arkansas to her parents, Wilford Dial and Minnie(Sturgeon) Dial. Delcia was a homemaker and spent time working as a nursing assistant in Missouri. She was a very loving, caring and thoughtful wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and working in her flower beds.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-three years, Farris Roper; one son, Danny Roper; three brothers and six sisters.
She is survived by her two daughters, Delores Roper of Scranton and Beverly Nowotny and husband, Gary of Clarksville; two sons, Alton Roper and wife, Margaret of Scranton and Greg Roper and wife, Jennifer of Scranton; thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-700 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the Dublin Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow at Wares Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris
Pallbearers will be Jennifer Apple, Justin Nowotny, Cody Nowotny, Darrin Roper, Adam Fritsche, Tristin Roper and Clayton Walker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Boland, Paul Athey, Bill Hughes, Greg Odom, John Schluterman and Monty Kremer.
We were so sad to hear about Aunt Delcia passing away. I have fond memories from years ago of our families getting together for a Sunday lunch or many times just to visit. May God comfort each and every one of you during this difficult time. Love and Prayers.
