Kenneth Faye Brown, age 77, of Tilly, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, December 15th, 2022 at his home. He was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on September 1st, 1945 to Garlan Monroe Brown and Edith Faye Boyd Brown.
Kenneth was a Vietnam War veteran of the United States Army. While serving he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, a Purple Heart and a Combat Infantryman's Badge. After his service in the Army, Kenneth went to work for Firestone. He worked there until his retirement in 1992. Kenneth enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. He liked listening to good old country music. He was a man with a strong work ethic and worked hard at anything he attempted to do. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed any time spent with them.
Survivors include his best friend and buddy, Julie Day of Tilly; his children, Kim Wright (Steve) of Marshall and Allen Brown (Shelley) of Tilly; grandchildren, Matthew Rose (Amanda) of OK, Kristen Rose of OK, Melissa Rose of Marshall, Kyle Brown of Tilly and Jacob Brown of Tilly; great-grandchildren, Danielle Rose, Stephanee Rose, Evan Rose, Aubreyanna Rose, Ayden Rose, Mateo Murcia, Allison Rose and Bryan Rose; his siblings, Jerry Brown (Carol) of Tilly and Glenda Horton of Little Rock and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family who will also mourn his passing.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Garlan and Edith Brown and brother, Glennard "Bruno" Brown.
Funeral services for Kenneth will be at 12:00 PM Wednesday, December 21st, 2022 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Bob Harmon officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 till 12:00 preceding the service. Burial will be in Nogo Cemetery, where Kenneth will be laid to rest with Military and Masonic honors. Bearers will be Bryan Brown, Jerry Dale Brown, Steve Wright, Rick Hart, Bill Watson and Brandon Griffin.
I enjoyed working with Kenneth. He was a patriotic American.
I only hear about Kenneth from his wonderful sister, my office manager, Glenda, but from what I have heard, he was a wonderful man, a good brother had a good person in general. He certainly served his country well with his service in the military.
