I haven’t known Larry for very long. I met my first Arkansas next-door neighbor last July after I purchased land next to Larry. I’ll never forget the day I met him. I drove to his place to meet my new neighbor in my white Ram 3500 dually truck. Although I moved here from California, I proved I wasn’t a Californian. After parking near Larry’s house, his barking dogs first met me. Then I looked up just as Larry came out the front door carrying his shotgun. I wasn’t stunned or scared one bit. Being a country boy raised in North Carolina, this greeting didn’t faze me. I introduced myself as his new neighbor, and Larry quickly stowed his shotgun in his truck. We talked a bit outside. Shortly, Larry invited me inside to show me his mounted deer heads. We had wonderful conversations. He told me a little bit about Susie and Bo. Larry and I had one particular thing in common. We both lost our first wife to cancer. My wife, Amy, and I offer our heartfelt condolences to Susie, Bo, his grandchildren, and Larry's sisters, Sylvia and Rose.
