Phil Mikles, 72, a resident of Scranton, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston.
He was born March 31, 1950 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to the late James Elzie Mikles and Dorothy (Beck) Abney. Phil grew up in the Baptist faith. After graduating high school, Phil served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his military service, Phil married Lesa (Reagan) Mikles in 1985 at Perryton, Texas. Upon returning from service, Phil also began a career he grew to love, working on rights of way. During his time working he served in many positions with his most recent and notable position being project manager. In his spare time, Phil loved hunting and fishing and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by a brother, John Dempsey and a sister, Carolyn Cooper.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Lesa Mikles of Scranton; son, Buck Mikles, wife, Kara and their son, Tate all of Scott; son, Steven Mikles, wife, Megan and their daughters, Peyton and Anna all of Oviedo, Florida; a son, Elzie Mikles, wife, Jamie and their sons, Wyatt and Waylon all of Scranton; a daughter, Jamie Tencleve, husband, Jeff and their sons, Luke and Lane all of Charleston. In addition, Phil leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2022 at Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Burial with military honors provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard will follow under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Bone, Shea Peterson, Ricky Hurst, Alfred Crenshaw, Floyd Parnell, Randy Hurst, Stanley Bryant and Jay McAnally.

Came to know Phil and Lesa both in the oil/gas industry and they both knew and performed their positions well. Gained great respect for Phil for his Project dedication. Rest in peace my friend and thank you for your service. Prayers for his Family may God heal your pain.
