George Leroy Davis, age 88, of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born in Morning Star, Arkansas on January 18th, 1934 to Noah Bedford Davis and Minnie Corn Davis. He married Nola Castleman Davis on September 2nd, 1956.
George began his working career in the timber industry working as a logger. He was an avid gardener and raised tomatoes and strawberries commercially. He was a hard working man who did whatever job was needed to raise his family. He worked for Roller-Coffman as a cemetery maintenance man for many years. He has dug graves all over Searcy County. George enjoyed fox hunting, deer hunting and raising walker hounds. He also loved John Wayne movies. He was a selfless family man whose number one concern was his family. Getting together with his family was his greatest joy.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Nola Davis of the home; his son, B.W. Davis (Yolanda) of Marshall; his daughters, Georgia Alexander of Dennard, Willa Davis (David Ward) of Marshall and Sharon Wright (Mike) of Harrison; grandchildren, Shawndor "Rollin Dola" Stapleton (Donald) of Dennard, Shanndoah "Munch" Castle of Pangburn, Shannika "Spud" Wilson of Dennard, Shane "App" Davis of Texas, Michael "Charlie" Watson of Harrison, Matthew "Prat" Watson (Christy) of Bruno, Hastin Davis of Marshall and Keely Grice (Taff) of Dongola; granddaughter-in-law, Amber Davis of Marshall; great-grandchildren, Afton (Chelsea) Stapleton, Evan (Whitley) Stapleton, Dalton Wilson, Destiny Smithson, Jacob Campbell, Janessa Campbell, Ember Watson and Everly Grice; great-great grandchildren, Carter, Emmery, Olivia, Audry, Sophia, Killion, Braden and Braxton; one sister, Lottie Yancey of Harrison and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family who will also mourn his passing.
George is preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Minnie Davis; his grandson, Dustin Davis and siblings, Web Davis, Juanita Warren and Oma Dale Smith.
Visitation services for George will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Charles Dye officiating.

It has been a honor to be George Davis’s Granddaughter one of strongest men I have ever known he was an honest hard working man a man that didn’t demand respect but earned it that put his family above all else was our family’s protector and our hero and I’m so thank full that the Lord gave him to us for a time and that he is reunited with loved ones who went before for him and safe in the arms of his Savior Most of all I want to thank the Lord for choosing George Davis to be our Grandad
