Opal Davis Powell, 88, of Batesville, AR passed away Friday, December 2, 2022.
She was born May 17, 1934 in Woodrow, Arkansas to Everette E. Davis and Annie Siedenburg Davis.
Opal was of the Methodist faith; she was loyal and very dedicated to her family and loved her grandchildren. She loved working in her flower garden and watching the hummingbirds.
Survivors include her two daughters, Jane Powell and Linda Crawford (Perry) both of Batesville; three grandsons, Jarrett Sandy, Chad Sandy and Paul Sandy; eight great-grandchildren, Monica Grissom, Destynie Moore, Faith Sandy, Kali Sandy, Brayden Sandy, Kason Sandy, Emma Sandy and Sadie Sandy; three great-great-grandchildren, Opal Moore, Klara Moore and Noah Grissom; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Lotis Dean Powell and sister, Katherine Sandy.
Pallbearers are Kyler Grissom, Kolton Moore, Paul Sandy, Chad Sandy, Bobby Thompson and Bruce Winston.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Tracy Grissom officiating. Burial will follow at Egner Cemetery in Salado, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home just prior to service.
