James Paul Mikles, Sr., 93, a resident of Paris passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at his home.
He was born November 28, 1928 in Driggs to the late James Wesley and Hattie (McClain) Mikles. James served his country in the United States Air Force. After his military service, James spent his working years both as a welder and logger.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marie Mikles and nine siblings.
Survivors include three sons, John Mikles and wife, Deborah of Owasso, Oklahoma, James Paul Mikles, Jr. and wife, Robin of Kingsville, Missouri and Eric Mikles and wife, Amber of Magazine; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are private under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
So thankful for that # 1 wonderful daughter in law that introduced me to you!
If not for Amber taking such good care of you all these years I wouldn’t have got to be buds with you!
It’s been a pleasure knowing you!

So sorry for your loss. Jim was always kind to me every time I would see him, at Wal Mart or a wedding it didn't matter. I loved him.
He was a great man and will be missed by all.

Thinking of and praying for each of you during this time of grief. I didn’t get to visit with Jim often but it was comforting to know he was there as he had been all my life. I loved him a lot and have very sweet memories of him when I was young and during my teenage years. He’s going to be missed.
So sorry to hear about James Paul!! He was one of my favorite men I ever knew! Jim was sweet, funny and full of stories God gained another agel!!
