Richard Sherman Brister Sr., age 71, of England, Arkansas passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022. He was born on February 22, 1952 in Helena, Arkansas to the late George Randolf Brister Sr. and Lula Williams. Richard was a member of Faith Outreach Church in Helena, Arkansas. Richard worked at Riceland Foods and Quincy Corporation before joining the Roller Citizens Funeral Home and Sunset Memorial Park family. He also enjoyed hunting deer, reading westerns, collecting arrow heads, gardening and listening to music.
He is survived by three sons, Adam Brister, Sherman Brister and Brian Brister; one daughter, Natalie Cotton; two brothers, Randy Brister (Judy) and Wendell Brister (Terry); twelve grandchildren, Julia Jones, Mackenzie Brister, Jadyn Johnson, Macy Brister, Atlas Brister, Melody Birster, Mallory Brister, Gabriel McCuin, Alexandria Brister, Anna McNeely, Zachary Brister and Emily Brister and one great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service for Richard Sherman Brister Sr. will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022 prior to the service at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Central Cemetery. Randy Brister will be the speaker.
Pallbearers will be Adam Brister, Buster Brister, Sherman Brister, Brian Brister, Zachery Brister and Aaron Brister.
