Lloyd D. ''Sonny'' Allen, 85, of Alco, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 13, 2022 in Alco, Arkansas. Mr. Allen was born Thursday, March 25, 1937 in Lake City, Arkansas to the late Rhouis Allen and Maggie Huffman Allen.
''Sonny'' was a drywall contractor in the Jonesboro for several years before moving to Stone County and starting a farm some fifty years ago. His farm specialized in cattle and broilers for nearly fifty years. ''Sonny'' was a member of the Grace Communion Fellowship Church in Batesville, Arkansas. He was also a proud member of the National Rifle Association.
Left to cherish his memory are; his loving wife of over sixty-five years, Mary Joan Tackett Allen; three sisters, LaVonne Moore (Durane) of Odessa, Missouri, Linda Hood of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Phyllis Wood (James) of Paragould, Arkansas; two brothers, Arnold Allen (Loretta) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Bruce Allen of Ash Flat, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Allen is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Connie Glass.
Funeral services for ''Sonny'' will be 2PM Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Roller-Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Visitation will be one hour prior. Brother Jim Noordhoek will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Alco Cemetery in Alco, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Tony Sanders, Jim Nesbitt, Jeff Ramsey, Darrell Ramsey, Kenny Green, and Kevin Green. Honorary pallbearer is Dr. James Zini.
Roller-Crouch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Josh my brother we cannot express on words what our heart feels for you. Your smile compassion and spirit has infected me. We are standing with you in this time of celebration and grief. We love you. I love you most of all Jesus loves you.
