Kathryn Scott, 70, of Joiner passed away in Jonesboro on Tuesday, October, 25, 2022. She was born on January 27, 1952 in Dyess to Joe ''Bunch'' and Lucille Scott. Kathryn retired from Viskase Corp. after 30 plus years of service. She was a member of The Church of Christ in Joiner. Kathryn enjoyed gardening, watching hummingbirds and taking care of her family. She is survived by her sons, Kenny (Cyndi) Scott of Manila, Doug Scott of Bassett, BJ Scott of Joiner; grandchildren, Hunter Scott, Courtney Scott, Cole Scott, Brody Scott, Jacey Scott, Christan Garcia, Connor Freeman; great grandchild, Brayden Scott; two grand dogs, Marley and Hoss; brother, Doug (Shirley) Scott of Tecumseh, MI; sister, Pat (Shawn) Young of Rector, AR; many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Bill Higgins; brothers, Joe Scott Jr., Steve Scott; sisters, Donna Scott, Shirley Scott, Diane Pate, Libby Esmon, Wanda Vaughn, Betty Sussex and grandson, Mason Scott. A visitation will be held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Interment at Bassett Cemetery.

Kathryn & I met at Church with our BJ & Ashley & hit it off from the get go.
She was a sweet Person & Lady of a Gem to sit with, cause we had many a cup of coffee & conversation.

Cathy was a great teammate and helpful to all at Viskase. She went out of her way to make out of town company teammates feel comfortable, and was always generous with her time. Hoping the memories of her will always bring peace and strength to her family and friends everywhere.
