Judith DeVore Schoenewald, 79, of Hilly Village, Arkansas passed away on October 17, 2022 in Batesville, Arkansas.

Judith was a warm, loving, bighearted lady who spent many of the great years of her life living in Fairbanks, Alaska. A memorial services will begin at 6:30 pm Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Cowboy Church with Glenn McKay officiating.

I love you Nana. You will be greatly missed. Your spirit will live on through the things that you taught to the people that loved you. Although you were far away for most of my life, I felt very close to you. I will eventually make the trip to Fairbanks, AK, to see the wondrous things that you always told me about. I'm sure words and pictures do not do it justice. I will make sure that your great-granddaughter will know about all of the neat things that you did and how much you love her. I know you are in a better place. Until we meet again, love, your grandson, Steven.

I met Judy through Roberta McGuffey, my sister-in-law. Judy was giving us helpful tips for canning and dehydrating meats and veggies. She was so pleasant and cheerful. I'm sorry for her passing but I know she is with the Lord. Prayers for the family during this difficult time. It was an honor to have known her.
