Stanley E Hodge

of Judsonia, AR

September 25, 1930 - October 19, 2022

Stanley Elwood Hodge of Judsonia, age 92, was born in Jackson County Arkansas on September 25, 1930. He passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022. He is now with his beloved wife of 67 years, Kathleen.

Stanley was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy. He continued to attend as often as his health would allow. Stanley never met a stranger. He loved everyone and was always willing to help anybody. He was a master carpenter and worked for Nabholz Construction until he was almost 74 years old. He also made things for his family and friends-toys, furniture, quilt racks, etc. He loved working with wood.

His greatest joy came when he married Kathleen Childers on November 25, 1953 and they had over 67 years together. They did everything together including going camping on Greers Ferry Lake in Heber Springs and frequent day trips to the Mountain View area especially during their festivals, such as Bean Fest.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Conice and Sylvia Goldman Hodge; his wife, Kathleen; his only granddaughter, Michelle Duncan; one brother and four sisters.

Left to cherish his memory is his only daughter, Kathy (Michael) Duncan; two great grandsons, Matthew (Courtney) Duncan and Jake Duncan; one great great-grandson, Mason Duncan; along with his nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery in Judsonia, Arkansas.
