Robert Jeffrey (Jeff) Payne, age 65, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away early Saturday morning, October 15, 2022, at Northwest Medical Center. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on November 4, 1956, to William Robert Payne Jr. and Mary Jane (Eller) Payne.

I just saw this today am so sorry for your loss Alan. He helped make our area a better place with his stories and dry humor. I never could tell if it was truth or not, but I enjoyed visiting with him!

Learning late of Jeff’s passing, I offer my sympathy and regret to Alan, his family, and all who loved and will miss him. Having known Jeff as a child, I got to know him as a grownup after I moved back to my family home. He was a good neighbor and a great story teller.

Jeff was always a good friend.Yes, he always had a story to tell. i remember watching him when I was a teen while our mothers visited, they were good friends, as well as our dads He was a good kid and I’ll never forget him or his family which was a big part of my growing up. I loved his mother, Mary Jane, she was always so sweet. Alan and my dad were horse show buddies too. So sorry to hear this.

Jeff quotes: I'm for the Razorbacks and whoever is playing against Auburn.

The last question he asked me: " I wonder what Coach Stevens' would say about all these missed tackles
I will miss our chats my friend. Praying 🙏
