Harold John Baumgartner, 85, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 in Paris. He was born on February 4, 1937 in Scranton, Arkansas to his parents, William J. and Marie (Kremers) Baumgartner.
Harold was a United States Army Veteran and was a retired industrial painter. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris, Knights of Columbus Council 3787 and the American Legion Post 258. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann (Schwartz) Baumgartner; one sister, Dorothy Baumgartner and three brothers, John Baumgartner, Billy Joe Baumgartner and Gerald Baumgartner.
He is survived by one daughter, Deborah Lowe and husband, Brent of Paris; one son, William J. Baumgartner and wife, Trish of Ratcliff; his sister in law, Elaine Geels of Fort Smith; his brother in law, Harold "Buddy" Schwartz and wife, Dorothy; five grandchildren, Natasha Cozens and husband, Andrew, Holly Seaman and husband, Eric, Rebecca McCune and husband, Connor, Johnnie Rene Hice and Jeremy Hice and six great-grandchildren, Presley Cozens, Eden Cozens, Scarlett Seaman, Lucy Seaman, Clark Seaman and Campbell McCune.
Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris officiated by Fr. Reginald Udouj, O.S.B.. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Cozens, Eric Seamen, Connor McCune, Randall Baumgartner, Jr., Monte Lowe and Bruce Baumgartner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Neumeier, Leonard Lensing and Billy Hughes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church or School, 15 South Spruce Street, Paris, AR 72855.

Getting to interact with him and his brother, Gerald, added to the blessing of moving to Dublin Road. God bless you all with comfort knowing he is reunited with many loved ones.

He was such a wonderful and loving man. I was so honored to be part of your family for such a short time. He always was laughing and had such great stories to tell. Mr. Baumgartner was one of the most faithful churchgoers I have ever seen at St. Joseph Church. If he wasn't there, you knew something was wrong. Our church family will miss him. My sympathy to the entire family.

Harold was one of the last first cousins I have. So happy to have been able to keep in touch with him the last few years. He will be missed. Prayers for the family.
