Otis Wayne Posey, 94, of Shirley, Arkansas passed away in his home on Friday, October 14, 2022. He was born June 22, 1928 in Delight, Arkansas to Percy and Jesse Posey.

He served in the Army Air Corps and served several years with the Shirley Volunteer Fire Department. Otis retired in 1989 from Am Tran in Conway, Arkansas. He loved spending time with family and friends. Most important to him was sharing Jesus Christ, his Savior, with anyone he met. Even through having dementia for years, Otis still shared Jesus with anyone that would listen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Deloise (Jones) Posey and sisters, Juanita Posey and Winona (Posey) Wall.

Otis is survived by his sons, Daniel Posey and Timothy Posey; a daughter, Karen (Posey) Massey and husband, Neal; a niece and nephew; a first cousin and more friends than can be counted.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton, Arkansas. Burial will follow in Lono Cemetery in Malvern, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Wade Lucas, Robert Johnson, Brad Smith, Michael Blackwell, Tim Blough and Thomas Halford. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Hensley and Richard Gray.

Otis, my uncle, will be sorely missed by all who knew him. We’ve been out of touch for a number of years but never out of mind. I loved growing up with you, Otis. You and my grandmother taught me much about God and Jesus Christ. I love you for that. Rest in peace dear uncle, until we meet again.

What a special man he was and so blessed me one day as he sang hymns and a song that my daddy sang to me as a little girl. God gives us these windows to renew our minds with special memories of those we have lost.
