Steven ''Steve'' Lorne Morrison, 67, of Fox, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Steve was born on October 8, 1955 in Clinton, Arkansas to the late Horace Doyle and Ruby L. (Cornett) Morrison. Steve owned a trucking company specializing in hauling logs and worked in law enforcement for many years. Steve was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding and dancing. In addition to being a hardworking, accomplished man, he was a man of his word and taught his children the same values. Steve will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Steve is survived by one daughter, Kayla Looney and husband Josh; two sons, Chance Morrison and wife Ashley; and Colten Morrison all of Stone County, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Madison and Savannah Looney of Stone County, Arkansas; two brothers, Duane Morrison of Indiana and Stanley Morrison and wife Margaret of Stone County, Arkansas; one sister, Wilma Johnson of Stone County, Arkansas and a host of family and friends.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Doyle and Ruby L. (Cornett) Morrison; and two brothers, John Morrison and Horace Morrison.
Visitation for Steve is Friday, October 21, 2022 from 12:00-2:00PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00PM with Brother Stan Sutterfield and Chris Morrison officiating. Interment is at Fox Cemtery in Fox, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Colten Morrison, Chance Morrison, Stanley Morrison, Daniel Morrison, J.D. Brewer, Brad Lawrence, and Josh Looney. Honorary pallbearers are Duane Morrison, John Rychtarik, and Pat Lafleur.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
I worked with Steve for about 15 years in the oilfield with Noble Steve was cheerful in all weather, and always done what he could to help others . He was a good friend to many I’m sorry for y’all’s loss
