Carolyn loved being involved and helping others. She would often visit friends and family in the nursing homes, hospitals, and homes. She was a mother to many in the community. She loved with her whole heart and expected nothing in return.
Carolyn made lifelong friendships while she was involved with several clubs in Stone County: Ozark Scarlett Grannies (Red Hatters), Stone County Medical Auxiliary in which she is the elected treasurer of the gift shop and Stone County Historical Society since 1978.
Carolyn loved all things in life and never took things for granted. Carolynś hobbies were reading, collecting items, going to Sonic for a Sprite with her sister, Norma, and spending time with family.

It is with a heavy heart that I offer my condolences to Deanna and her family for the loss of your Mother. Carolyn was very special to the Harris family as she did our family tree and educated us younger cousins on our family history. I will miss visiting with her, your Mother was a very special lady and will truly be missed and you can be proud of her service to many children and to Stone County and Mountain view Arkansas. To Norma lee and Ulyess and Tommy and Robin, I am so sorry for your loss. I also am so sorry I can not attend and be there for you and your families in this difficult time. The only comfort we have is her suffering is over and she put of a good fight and being the Good Christian Lady she was, she is now rejoicing with our Lord. My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you at this difficult time. In Loving Memory of Carolyn Sue Shipman

So sorry for the loss of this wonderful cousin I grew up visiting Her mother, Virginia Harris Rutledge was my dad's sister. We spent MANY vacations, reunions, and such with them. She was just enough older than me to take me "uptown" to the square where my aunt and uncle owned a mercantile. So many wonderful memories. She will be missed.
