Marie Weindruch, born October 17, 1947 in Rock Island, Illinois, passed away August 18, 2022 in Yellville, Arkansas at the age of 74.
She attended Yellville-Summit High School and then went on to earn her LPN license. She worked several years at Marion County Hospital.
Marie married her husband, Sam, April 30, 1971. Family life took her away from the area for many years. When she returned she became very active in the Marion County Hospital Auxiliary (now the Marion County Nursing Home Auxiliary) and served as secretary for multiple terms. She volunteered countless hours in the Marion County Thrift Shop which is run by the Auxiliary.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Yellville where she was very active until illness slowed her down. She loved to cook and enjoyed playing games, antiquing and family get-togethers.
Marie is survived by her son, Tom Weindruch (Carol) of Cabot, Arkansas; her daughters, Shelia Seawright (David) of Yellville, Arkansas, Teresa Weindruch of Oxford, Florida, Stacey Sailor (Mackey) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; her brothers, Riley Vroman (Judy) of Andalusia, Illinois, Kevin Thomas (Christine) of Riverview, Florida; her sister, Julia Sharp (Harold) of Yellville, Arkansas; an uncle, Floyd Vroman (Zeta) of Moline, Illinois; a special cousin, Emma Fox of Moline, Illinois; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Vroman of Illinois City, Illinois; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Caroline Thomas; her husband, Sam and her brother, Tate Vroman.
Memorial service will be 10:00 am Thursday, August 25, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church of Yellville with Rev. Dr. Richard Shinkle officiating.

I got the pleasure of meeting Ms. Weindruch only a few times. However, I see the wonderful family she’s raised on a daily basis and through them- I knew she was an amazing woman. Caleigh, Chris, Ms. Shelia, the rest of the family, you’re in my thoughts and prayers. 💛
