David Leon Heard, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away at his home on August 12, 2022. He was born on January 12, 1944 in Paragould, Arkansas to the late David and Maxine Heard.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed a long career with South Western Bell until his retirement.
He is survived by his loving wife Diann (Shaw) Heard; his children, Len Heard of Harrison, Arkansas and Jennifer (Douglas) Drawbaugh of Greenbrier, Arkansas; grandchildren, Brandon and Lauren Drawbaugh; siblings, Wilma Gilbert of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Russell Heard of Little Rock, Arkansas, Dee (Everett) Burr of Harrison, Lisa (Donald) Holland of Oceans Springs, Mississippi; along with many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, in Atkins, Arkansas.

I’m so sorry I couldn’t get there for the funeral. I am grateful that I was able to talk with him before then. I’ll always remember him smiling, laughing and joking around. Prayers for you and the kids.
