Kenneth Wayne Blakley, age 48, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 in Quitman, Arkansas. He was born in Thomas, Oklahoma to his parents, Jerry and Mary (Stelting) Blakley on March 13, 1974.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wayne Blakley; grandparents, Oadis and Opal Blakley and Art and Marie Stelting.
Kenneth was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He received The Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Air Force Training Ribbon. He was proud to be selected to serve on the Air Force Search and Recovery Team. He served in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm, with time in Croatia and Honduras.
On September 6, 2019, he was married to Michelle (Hoffman) Blakley. The two lived and raised a loving home in Quitman, Arkansas. Kenneth worked for Johnson Controls for 26 years, currently holding the position of Regional Technical Service Manager. He enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, camping or anything outdoors.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Michelle (Hoffman) Blakley; his mother, Mary Goodsell of Mustang, OK; brother, Jerry Blakley and wife, Kim of Custer City, OK; sisters, Frieda Stewart and husband, Kevin of Colony, OK, Jamie Blakley of Yukon, OK; son, Kolton Blakley and wife, Macey of Purcell, OK; daughters, Kensea Blakley of Boswell, OK, Kendyl Blakley of Silo, OK, Aspen Johnson of Quitman, Ark, Autumn Johnson of Quitman, Ark, Alex Johnson of Quitman, Ark; grandson, Bo Wayne Blakley of Purcell, OK, as well as a host of friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
Kenneth will be lying in state at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas on Friday, August 5, 2022 12:00pm to 8:00pm.
There will be general viewing from 10am until 7:00pm at Absolute Economical Funeral Home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on Monday, August 8, 2022.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Covenant Community Church in Yukon, Oklahoma at 1:30pm.
There will be private family burial to follow at Mennonite Brethren Cemetery, located in Corn, Oklahoma.
Kenny worked for me when we were stationed at Holloman AFB, New Mexico. I remember him well
as a person that worked hard, that I trusted, respected and proudly called my friend.
