Ralph Henry Thiel, 80, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away July 17, 2022 at Baptist Hospital in Conway, Arkansas.
Ralph was born to Earl and Marie (McHugh) Thiel on September 25, 1941 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Luanne Thiel and brother, Gerald L. ''Jerry'' Thiel.
Ralph met the love of his life, Luanne Hartman, during the summer of 1962. They married on February 12, 1966. Together they built a life that they lived to the fullest!
Ralph had a long and successful career in the healthcare industry, holding positions as a comptroller and administrator. He transitioned into building retirement communities and skilled nursing facilities. Consulting became his passion after his retirement.
Ralph was a music lover to his soul and one of his prize possessions was his vinyl record collection. He was the smoothest dancer and could ''cut a rug'' to any song. His daughters know this was what won their mother's heart. Ralph enjoyed playing his 12-string guitar and learning new instruments. He was a lover of card games and he never ''let'' you win. You had to prove you could beat him. In his younger years, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in the men's softball league. Additionally, Ralph was involved in various civic and social groups throughout his life. He always believed your actions should follow your words.
Ralph is survived by daughters, Julia Thiel, Mountain View, Jill (Josh) Lockard, Vilonia and Jeanna Thiel, Mountain View. Grandchildren, Alexandra Sweigart, Nikki (Nick) Neal, Parker (Maya) Wilson, Ethan Lockard, Payton Wilson and Elizabeth Miller and great-grandson, Miles.
A celebration of Ralph's life will be held at Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas, on July 30, 2022. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 3:00pm with a service beginning at 3:00pm.
At a later date, a memorial service will be held in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
The family asks that any donations made in Ralph's memory be directed to the Stone County Humane Society or the American Heart Association.

We are so very sorry for this great loss. Ralph was a wonderful man and a great father. He always had a kind word and smile for others and he will be missed. He lives on in everyone who knew him and loved him, especially his wonderful daughters. He was a true blessing to this world.

Sending my condolences to the family.
Our family lived upstairs from Ralph and his parents when I was a kid. Now at 66 years old, I still have vivid memories of Ralph.
Shooting baskets in the yard with him, going for a ride with him in his new ‘64 Impala SS, and watching him play guitar while his buddy sang Puff the Magic Dragon.
He always had time to spend a few minutes with a runt kid that lived upstairs and he treated me and my brother like family. A true class act that has never been forgotten, even though it’s been over 50 years since I’ve seen him. Thank you for posting the obituary in the Manitowoc paper.
