James Michael "Mike" Drewry came into this world on June 6, 1979. His parents, Johnny P. Drewry and Martha Phelps Drewry welcomed him with open arms. He passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022. He was their only child and was a pure joy to have around. His grandparents were John and Hazel Williams Phelps and Paul and Blanch Battenfield Drewry.

Mike graduated from Harrison High School in 1997. After graduation, he worked several different jobs including projectionist at the movie theater in Harrison and Dixie Stampedes in Branson, Missouri, and Orlando, Florida. He finally decided to go to North Ark College and become a welder. After several years of welding and mowing yards on the side, he quit welding and started his own lawn care company. He had many satisfied customers, whom he liked to visit with, as well as keeping their lawns in tip-top shape.

If you need help with anything, you could always depend on Mike for help. His passion was his motorcycle. He loved to go for rides after work or any time he could.

His Aunt Betty instilled the love of the Razorbacks in him at an early age. Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents; his Dad; his Aunt Betty and Uncle Bob Watts all of Harrison; his Uncle Kenny Phelps of Conway, Arkansas and Uncle Tom Drewry of Everton, Arkansas.

He is survived by his Mom, Martha Drewry; Uncle Tommy and Aunt Jackie Phelps of Harrison; his aunts, Mary Phelps of Conway and Minga Drewry of Everton, as well as a host of cousins and friends.


Visitation was Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral service was held Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Maple Leaf Cemetery with Rev. Allen Thrasher officiating.
