Mavis Ann Griggs, age 64, of North Little Rock passed away July 13, 2022. She was born December 30, 1957 in Little Rock to John Nathan and Eva Elymira Ford.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Doyce L. Ford and Larry W. Ford.

Mavis retired after 26 years of service with the State Building Services, for the State of Arkansas. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in North Little Rock, where she was an organist for many years.

She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughter's of the American Revolution and United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Mavis was a seamstress and enjoyed sewing and embroidery.

She is survived by her husband, Charles D. Griggs; daughter, Katie Marie Griggs (Daniel Cathey); soon to be grandson, Jack Cathey; three stepchildren, Jeremy Griggs (Andrea), Ashley Griggs (David D'Aquin) and Anthony Griggs (Kim); sister, Joyce L. Bierman (Orville); special cousins, Kathy Owens and Sonja Nelson; sister-in-law, Donna Taylor; five grandchildren and many nieces, nephew and extended family.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
