Brenda Joyce Tustison, 71, of Mabelvale, AR passed away on June 30, 2022. She was born on April 20, 1951 in Little Rock, AR to the late Richard and Elizabeth Hendricks. Brenda graduated with honors from McClellan High School in 1969.
Brenda retired from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) after 23 years of employment. She was a wife to her beloved husband, Stephen for 52 years, a loving mother and grandmother. Brenda enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Jonathan, family and close friends. She was a true friend to everyone she knew.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Tustison; daughter-in-law, Amy Tustison; mother-in-law, Ethel Maxine Tustison; father-in-law, Stephen Tustison Sr.; brother-in-law, Richard Tustison and brother-in-law, Phillip Tustison.
Survivors include husband, Stephen Tustison Jr.; daughter, Stephanie Purvis (Shara); grandson, Jonathan Purvis; son-in-law, Joseph Purvis; sister, Evelyn Smith (Steven); brother, Richard Hendricks; brother, Alan Hendricks; brother-in-law, Joseph Tustison (Virginia); sister-in-law, Barbara Alexander and several nieces and nephews.
Please join us for services at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 20, 2022. Rosary will begin at 9:00 am and the Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am.
Interment service will be privately held after mass at Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas.
I am so sorry to hear of Benda's passing. I worked with her at NRCS and she was always so helpful and sweet. My prayers are with your family.
When I think of Brenda I have to smile, because we laughed our way through a couple of years of high school. She was intelligent, thoughtful, kind, funny. I treasure having been her friend and I pray that God will bless you with happy memories, Steve, Stephanie and family until you see her again.

Were going to miss Brenda, her wonderful sense of humor and joy of life, despite all the hardships she endured.
